As absolute pioneers in electronic music, the Berlin-based duo Booka Shade consisting out of Walter Merzinger and Arno Kammermeier have emerged as one of the most celebrated electronic music acts in the last decades.

The duo, with roots in Frankfurt started producing original synth-pop and very quickly a strong following arose. In 2002 the well-renowned label Get Physical Music was formed together with M.A.N.D.Y, Thomas ‘DJ T.’ Koch and Peter Hayo as a platform for creating and launching their own music. In 2005 their fame really took off with massive tracks such as Body Language, In White Rooms and Night Falls that set dancefloors all over the world on fire They have gained recognition for their creative, ground-breaking live-shows being named Resident Advisors Top 5 live acts in 2010. Booka Shades fan base is not only die-hard electronic music fans; they have taken stages such as Lollapalooza, Coachella, Glastonbury, Montreux festival as a result of the broad musical spectrum that they deliver. Booka Shade have remixed tracks from acts such as Depeche Mode, Moby, Hop Chip, Kings of Leon and Woodkid to name a few.
