SKVALBORG 2020 Backyard Sessions x Sydskånska

Two very difficult years have passed and put roadblocks in all our lives ... BUT NOW we can finally look ahead and focus on the glorious garden of the Sydskånska Nationen on April 28th, 2022. Framed in trees with the spring sun in full swing, this magical place stands super ready, and once again we welcome everyone to this year's first outdoor day party. Can it get any better?!

Hardly, but after all, the answer to the question aboveis actually YES! Because this year we have resumed the collaboration with our best friends from Malmö, BACKYARD SESSIONS! Both when it comes to brains and hearts, it is said that two are always better than one and this specific case is no exception. With the joint efforts of the creative music geniuses in BACKYARD SESSIONS and the hard-hitting music heart of Sydskånska Nationen, we have now joined forces to create an open-air festival with more gunpowder than Alfred Nobel could ever invent!

Simply, It's time for dance!

Backyard Sessions Sunday #1 - El Mundo & Zazou (Live) + Ana Lög (DK) + Many more

As the sun once again is beginning to show its beautiful face over our city, we’ve decided to fire up Backyard Sessions as it first started - with a series of daytime Sunday events spanning throughout the summer!

Hosted at our all so beloved Plan B you can expect international live acts and DJ’s, together with local gems as well as artists from across the pond. Together we’ll be busting moves to quality tunes accompanied by colorful decorations throughout the day under the bluest of skies. Bevvy’s shall be had, food shall be consumed, and there’s plenty of smiles and hugs to go around!

Isn’t midsummer the most magical time of the year? That’s why we’ve decided to extend this weekend even more - and send us all into the summer with a sunday dance in the sun!

For this special occasion we’ve invited some of our favorite artists to put a midsummer spell over us. A day that you surely don’t want to miss!

So what are you waiting for? Get your paws on a ticket, and let’s see your midsummer dance moves (yes, you’re allowed to do the frog dance)

House Music With Love (HMWL) is a Swedish label and blog focusing on promoting the talent of the future. HMWL has become known as one of the go-to tastemaker channels for dance music with weekly premieres of the newest music from the best labels. With roots in Malmö, the label has expanded to reach a wide audience all around the world with releases from artists such as Gorge, Tensnake, Lazarusman and many others. HMWL has put on showcases spanning from Stockholm to Cape Town, connecting with many listeners and sharing music the way they do things best... with love!

Monkey Safari brings rays of light to Culture Box dance floor in association with Malmö's Backyard Sessions and HMWL label. The German outfit has been on an incredible run of form of late. The past few years saw the brothers swinging to new trees, retiring their previous labels to focus on their new label 'Hommage' while also just releasing their Body Language album on Get Physical. Alex Esser and Asterium support in Black Box while the local SLIPDRESS duo featuring AVIAJA and PLOY will do an extended session in Red Box.
